The Process
Make an Appointment
If you struggle to find a bra that fits, or you’re after something special you’ve come to the right place. Get in touch and make an appointment to start the journey that will change the way you feel about your bras forever.
Let's take some measurements
Every body is individual and the journey to a beautiful bespoke bra starts with taking your measurements.
At our first appointment we will take measurements including a breast root trace to help fit you into the best shape and size wire for your body shape.
Once your measurements have been taken we will try some pre-made samples to check the wire fit and band placement. We will also look at the styles that may fit you best.
The tailored fitting begins
Between your first and second appointment I will create a toile from all the information gathered, so that this simple bra can be checked for fit at our second meeting. This appointment should be 1-2 weeks after our first meeting.
Depending on your needs we may have another fitting appointment (appointment number 3) to perfect the fit before work starts on your finished bra.
Your beautiful bra
Once we have the fit down the real fun begins, now its time to make the final decisions on fabrics, colours and styles.
Feel free to browse the webshop to get an idea of what sort of fabric you want your bra to be made of.
We can look through all the samples during your visit so you can see all the fabrics up close.

A custom made bra is a big invertment, and I’m happy to talk you through the process before making our first appointment, so you know what to expect.
A lot of work goes into a custom made bra. From our in-person meetings, the time taken to create your individual pattern, fittings and then sewing your bespoke bra, the process takes between 6 to 8 weeks.
Depending on your individual requirements, your bra can be made of any of the fabrics from the webshop, take your pick from stretch lace, embroidered tulle, bamboo or even stretch satin. The choice is yours.
While every situation is different, its usual to have four appointments, the first to take measurements and discuss the process, a1st fitting appointment, a 2nd fitting appointment and a delivery appointment.
A custom made bra starts at $575, this includes all our our appointments, the time to create your individual bra pattern, the fittings and your final bra. Depending on your choice of fabrics and style the cost may vary slightly, the final cost will be confirmed at your first appointment.
Like any custom made item of clothing, your bra is being made to your own individual measurements. It takes time to create your pattern, adjust the fit and hand make your finished bra, and everything is done right here in Western Australia.
We are happy to offer you a 20% discount on subsequent bras made using the same pattern as your first bra.
Looking for a new style, no problem a small redraft fee can be paid of $75.
Life can often throw up unexpected obsicles. If you can’t make an appointment, I will try to offer you an appointment in the same or subsequent week. Having a custom bra made is a commitment and appointments are made close together to make fitting as accurate as possible. If you are unable to make multiple appointments La Lutte reserve the right to cancel your order.
Yes a $250 deposit is payable one week before our first appointment.
As you can imagine many many hours go into making a custom made bra, and it is made to your unique body. For this reason, once the process has started on your custom made bra a refund won’t be given.
If you choose not to go ahead with the process after our first meeting, we will refund your deposit, less a $75 consultation fee to cover your first appointment.
The balance of the payment is taken at our first appointment, work will begin on your bra as soon as payment has been made.
I am happy to raise an invoice for you to pay online, or you can make payment through our secure website. We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal or Credit Card. You are also welcome to pay cash on the day, a receipt will be emailed to you.
Of course, a perfectly fitting bra is a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one. Our gift voucher entitles the holder to have an underwired bra made for them, from their choice from our wonderful selection of laces or embroidered tulles.
